Mahendra Singh Dhoni has announced retirement from Test cricket as immediate effect, as Virat Kohli will be captain of team India for fourth test match at Sydney in Australia. MS Dhoni will play in other format.
BCCI informed about Dhoni's retirement from longest format of cricket on twitter and Virat Kohli will be captain in 4th test match, starting from 6th January 2015.
MS Dhoni has preety good test record. He played 90 test matches for India and score 48,76 runs with the average of 38.09. In his test career, he scored 6 centuries and 33 half centuries.
Dhoni was captain in 60 test matches in which India won 27 matches and lost 18 matches, 15 draw matches. Dhoni had a great record in is initial captaincy days when India became the world's number one test team but currently, dhoni were struggling as captain and batsman.
Today was the third test match against Australia in which India managed to draw the match. After finishing the match, BCCI tweets that MS Dhoni retires has choosen to retire from test cricket and Virat Kohli will be captain of India in 4th test match.
