Pakistan Won T20 Cricket World Cup In 2009

Pakistan National Cricket Team also known as “The Green Shirt” or “Shaheen”. Pakistan National Cricket Team has been governed by PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). Pakistan is full member of ICC and play in every format of cricket.

Total number of ODI played by Pakistan is 823 in which Pakistan won 438 ODI matches. Pakistan was runners-up in first T20 cricket world cup in 2007 but Pakistan came up as champion in 2009 T20 cricket world cup. Pakistan also won the Asian Test Championship in 1999.

Pakistan have played 385 test matches and won 121 matches. Test status for Pakistan was given in 1952 by recommendation of India. Pakistan played first test cricket match in 1952 against India in Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi. Pakistan loosed debut test match against India by an innings and 70 runs.


Most of the Pakistan test cricket players had played for India before creation of Pakistan in 1947.
In 1935, first International cricket match was held in Karachi between Sindh and Australia cricket team. The first captain of Pakistan national cricket team was Abdul Hafeez Kardar.


Pakistan first match in 2015 cricket world cup will be played on 15 February against India. Pakistan will play first match in world cup 2015 against India.
