Team Was Not Ready For ODI Series Against India-Sanath Jayasuriya

Sri Lankan cricket selection board's chairman "Sanath Jayasuriya"  said that we were not ready for ODI series against India, as most of the players except Sangakkara, Mahela and Angelo Mathews were playing domestic cricket for their companies. We are trying to find few new players in this ODI series. We have given opportunity to new bowlers and if they do well, we will consider them in future. Cricket world cup 2015 has been going to start next year so our main objective is to find new options. We can give rest to Sangakkara and give chance to any of chandimal, kusal or Niroshan as keeper.
Yes this could be smart move before 2015 world cup if Sri Lanka could find new players. Selection commit thinking to rest Sangakkara because he is not doing well and Sri Lanka has option like chandimal, kusal or Niroshan as keeper. Lahiru Gamage and Dhammika Prasad caught eye of selectors so probably we may see them in initial matches of 2015 cricket world cup. Dhammika Prasad has not played much ODI cricket but made most of the opportunity. So Sri Lanka have many options which will maintain balance in their lineup.

But in last match we saw the poor fielding so fielding coach should work with boys to improve it before cricket world cup 2015 which is going to be hosted by Australia and New Zealand  from 14 Feb 2015. Sri Lanka's fans must be expecting team to win remaining series's matches and it would be good thing regarding confidence of team before world cup. Last thing is that selectors should choose players wisely for 2015 world cup.
